I don't mean to upset anyone, but I know a LOT of people who are extremely talented and have put in lots of training to sing opera much better than this guy, and it's upsetting that they don't get a lucky break. They won't make as much money in a lifetime as this guy will in one year, and it isn't fair. The reason is that people would rather watch a ridiculous TV show than actually go to the opera and see the REAL singers. It's like watching Oprah play basketball - glamorous but stupid.

Maybe this guy isn't the better opera singer that I ever listened but I believe in his qualities. I wish you to realize your dream, Paul! :)

why dont the organizers of the show rule the world? isnt all about extracting the best of people? Same with the chefs on the food channel and the travel channel? artists? architects? im sick of politicians. These guys ahve the best Humanity has to offer. Bravo, Bravooo

nyc1104, many of us have those "Proscenium Arch" cred's. Disparaging Paul and saying that he is an "insult" to the grander of opera stars is more than a bit condescending, wouldn't you agree? If he's not good enough for your elevated tastes, why not just back off and find a YT version of "Nessun Dorma" that's more to your liking? The YT critics of Paul Potts often have a way of telling us they're better than we lowly, unschooled fans. It does get tedious.
