I think the difference between Tom Green and Bam Margera is that Tom's parents are more normal and the stuff Tom does to them is not scripted. I don't see Tom's dad plotting with Tom to prank Tom's mom. If Bam would have done this, April would be pissed until Bam gave her a hug and Phil would have just laughed it off.
