Easiest way to tell the video is fiction? No kid actually had a Nelson poster next to their bed.Just kidding. Anyway, I never thought that "Nelson" fit in with the other hair metal bands, not only because their sound was more pop-oriented but also because they have a pretty good musical pedigree. Their dad is like ludicrously popular (Ricky Nelson, look him up, he sang Travelin' Man and Garden Party among others).

This brings back a lot of great memories! My son (then 12) and I are part of the crowd in the concert. It was filmed at Griffith Park in LA.We were there till about 3am. We actually got some food b/c my son looked so tired and hungry.We had been told to wear white t-shirts so they could fade us in and out. We got autographs on the shirts we were wearing and Matthew gave my son a silver ring off his hand-which I still have. They were/are pretty cool, grounded guys !
