OK it's only a protoype. How far did the Wright Brothers fly on their contraption? This thing has potential even if we have to wait years for it to be perfected. BUT, they didn't offer to sell their contraption for the equivalence of 100K

Some controlled test flights to show proof of concept. We'd love to fly this to the full altitude, but we will reserve that for after we have have exhausted all planned testing. Should've read: some VERY CAREFUL test to see if it can fly. We'd love to fly it higher than 4 feet but we can't (too dangerous!) However if you would like to buy it now, you can, it's ONLY $100,000

Cool. And to the commenters below, the guys on the side were not directing it, their hands were about the metal, presumably in case the flyer got in trouble.Pretty darn noisy, though, and not exactly the backpack sized thing one would like :-)Really excellent progress.

This is the dumbest shit I have ever seen in my entire life. The guy who's demonstrating it is probably the best there is at steering this contraption, and he can't even control it without people running along the side of it and keep it under control. Yea, good luck when that thing is 50 feet in the air begins to wobble.
