i understand what you are saying but peter pumpkinghead was the first really big song. they were playing it on pop radio stations.(how embaressing) i first heard about xtc when i was 22 in 1987. and then i went back and listened to everything they did before and i was so very impressed. i compare andy partridge with brian wilson. both have musical genius and problems. right??

i'm just saying I live in Bosotn, US and we heard about XTC with Nigel but Senses definately got big time on MTV first, so it was everywhere. Cheers.

peter pumpkinhead is the video that was popular on mtv and the song that was popular on the radio. but anyone who has ever listened to xtc knows that there is so much more to hear. i love senses working overtime. keep listening to everything you can find that they have done. amazing shit.

they started to get the recognition on mtv with peter pumpkinhead but mr partridge has severe stage fright so they will need to stay in england in partial nonsuch. lol i love their music. its kinda like brian wilson music. genius.

XTC are so under-rated !! brilliant songs from Mr Partridge and co, i love listening to their stuff ! one day they will get the recognision they deserve !!

I wish someone would put a good quality song 1000 umbrellas by XTC. There is one vido of that song, but its crappy quality. the only songs I know are this one and 100 umbrellas. do they have any other good ones?
