you know how many of my eyeshadows i cracked, because i tried to depot it without taking it out of the full casing first?! ugh i didn't know you could do that! haha dumb moment i guess.

Depotting is useful if you have a palette(a container that holds 15 shadows in their metal pans at a time). You can buy shadows without pots at MAC stores, but not MAC counters. People who don't live near a MAC store probably have to do a lot more depotting than those who do.

If you depot your eyeshadows they will be more convenient to use, plus you can turn in the leftover plastic cases back to MAC for a free lipstick or eyeshsadow for every 6

They sell wax paper in the super market where they usually keep the aluminum foil, parchment papers, and freezer paper.
