You were so lucky to have seen him in person--I miss him too! What a class act! I read he died from a heart attack, but he was only 54--anyone know the whole story?

Telling my age but I saw him perform this song. He was so hot and had such a beautiful voice! I miss him.

I never classed Robert, he tended to be in a class of his own, I mean how many other artist do you see these days that constantly do their thing in a business suit? I'm a 39 year old Black man, a gen X'er, believe in the philosophy of Malcolm X, rocked to Public Enemy and really had an appreciation for Rap music in its infancy but I dug Robert Palmer at the same time. I still dig him and I wish he was alive today.

i always classed him as great driving music and maybe for a party for a school renunion but thats just me

I think Robert made music that everybody regardless of Class or color could groove too. I dont think that it was just the so called "middle class" that enjoyed him. I know people who were as poor as church mice that really loved to hear him and he definatenly had style. I think the world is a colder place without him because I really believe he knew it took "every kind of people" and thats who he rocked for
