Tornado Causes Damage In Nebraska City
Nebraska City residents say a tornado touched down west of Nebraska City shortly after 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.OPPD power poles were snapped near Highway 75 and H Road. In a northeasterly line, a machine shed was destroyed. About a third of the building was lifted into the air, going above the home of Pat and Don Ramold, and landing in a ditch about a quarter mile away.On the northwest edge of Nebraska City the properites occupied by KariBoardman and Larry Boardman sustained damage.Larry Boardman said he opened the screen door to see the marble-sized hail, but the wind nearly took the door off. He said he could see leaves and limbs circling around the house and felt the structure shake for less than 30 seconds.[ghsvid]
