WOW... this IS just about the best tempo! It IS, simply put, fantastic playing of the old warhorse we love 'till death!

Alan Vening would choose to play this on one of those crisp, anti-cyclonic mornings as we filed out of Chapel; truly uplifting and inspiring!

Hmpf... I would really like to play this peace ( and the rest of widors' 10 symphonies ) but the only thing I haven't got is an organ like that :P

I hope you do get the chance, some day. My had the opportunity to hear this song performed there on Easter Sunday this year by their current organist (Glen Miller is his name, I believe) and it just sounded incredible! It's just phenominal how beautiful the cathedral is and to hear that organ is just amazing...

Thanks for writing. If you have contact information for these venues, please reply or send me a private message. I or a friend in the UK can follow up, hopefully with bookings. - Fred H

This makes me want to visit Newark even more! I've always wanted to see this cathedral, but now I want to go hear its organ too. Watching this is the next best thing. Thanks for posting it.

I know I've posted before but we need you at the Albert Hall or perhaps Leeds Cathedral. |
