jordan was not creative, FT line dunk was great so he did that again... n again n again... he did the FT line dunk twice in 88.. and the two handed cradle, he did that in 87 dunk contest... lame... kobe in game dunks is more creative n stylish...

True. We all know his play on the court, but Jordan's special gifts on the court was that he wasn't known JUST for his dunks. Marv Albert's call of his "Spectacular move!" or the subtle push-off to score in the '98 Finals. Also, Russell won (11) titles. Kareem Adbul-Jabbar won a total of (6) NBA titles, with (5) of them as a Laker.

Jordan did not compete in the slam dunk contest after he won those two titles. As for his greatness, it used to be said that you can't win a NBA championship without a great center. The Jordan-led Chicago championship teams had 3 different starting centers who were good, but none were great. Also, it was said that true greatness was measured by how many championships you won. Bill Russell (10), Jordan (6), next set of superstars who led their teams to the title have 3 at the most.

And no I don't think Nique should have won this contest, although his dunks were powerful and his head was almost always near the rim, Jordan's free throw line dunk is better than anything Nique has in his arsenal,... and Jordan does have more creativity overall b/c he can jump off one or two feet and Nique only jumps off two. ---Plus, it sounds better that Nique and Jordan each won two

Allow me to clear something up: Vince Carter and Michael Jordan are DIFFERENT STYLE DUNKERS. VC might be able to jump slightly higher than Jordan, and even thats debatable, but Jordan can soar much further from the hoop than VC (in games and dunk contests) and thats not debatable!!!!Also, Jordan seem to possess unlimited durability and lack of injuries so he also has more quantity of dunks than VC due to playing 81-82 games seasons where VC has been injury prone and missed lots of games

I am/was a huge Jordan fan but Nique definitely should have won. Still great stuff from both.
