I haven't had time. This mod should only be done by someone with some decent electronics background and understanding. You can start by lifting the center leg of the pot and using that as the input. I suggest optoisolating it. You may or may not need a pull up resistor depending on what type of optoisolator you use.

Yes, the Bitrman gives you 2 bitcrushing effects to choose from and you can sweep it manually with the "Bittrness" knob.

Mr. Retrosynth,If you do find the time, a guide to modifying this little beast would be most welcome!

i'm pretty sure that the korg R3 and radias have bit crushing effects in them, but that's a bit more expensive than a simple box! (access virus too i believe)

Sounds great.I'm specifically looking for a bitcrushing effect I can 'sweep' manually. Does the Bitrman allow you to sweep the level of bitcrushing effect using one of its knobs? I want to chain it onto my Novation Nova 2 so I can bitcrush my bass sounds live. Beyond that, are there any other hardware inexpensive hardware boxes which do bitcrushing I could use? Many thanksJake

That's not how I did it but that could be made to work. Depends on if you want the pot to act as a DC offset control or a modulation amount control. I chose modulation amount. |
