The Dance scene is absolutely crucial to the film, and is an incredibly beautiful scene. For you to find no entertainment value in it says more about you than the film.

A masterpiece. Critics can cry foul all they want, and the mass audience can play sheep, but nothing will change that fact.I hear the French love the film... If so, there once again far ahead of their American peers.

"I know! Let's give a control-freak director who likes fifty takes per scene milions and millions to do a movie with an incredibly complex - yet unbelievably pointless - 5 minute roller-skating/fiddle-playing/disco scene!! It'll be great!"This film is why MGM now owns the Bond franchise. It was started by United Artists that was bought by MGM after 'Heaven's Gate' tanked. |
