Shemp seemed to do all right riding it alone.

Yes. His brothers even said that he was the funniest. and they mostly meant in real life and off stage.

This is true... Shemp was very multiphobic. He couldn't drive, and couldn't ride in automobiles without having a panic attack. He was also afraid of water, heights, dogs, etc. Shemp according to Emil Sitka was the "funniest" of the Stooges. Shemp was also one of the biggest ad-libbers in comedy long before Robin Williams and Bill Murray.

Hmmm...let me get this straight-Shemps' big "problem" is that Christine McIntyre, wearing a black nightgown,is in the backseat of his car. See,I would call that the very definition of "getting lucky",ya crazy Stooge!!!

Shemp behind the wheel. LOL. He couldn't drive in the first place in real life. At age 15 or what ever age he took his first lesson and drove through a barbershop window. Never drove again.

This was released in March 1947, and was one of Shemp's final "All-Star" comedies before he rejoined the Stooges...

Hey, nice to see that one. It has a lot of the regular stooge-actors in it! Vernon Dent, Chstine McIntyre, Dick Curtis and Emil Sitka! Thanks for sharing this! |
