so i take it you don't care about your health and environment. we has a society have grown to dependent on oil. you've heard the saying never put your eggs in one basket. an oil economy has been obsolete for the past 40 years, it's the powers that be that has made us grown dependent on it.

Such as what? We are nowhere near getting alternative fuels to the level they need to be to sustain the country's transportation needs.Nuclear is closest but the scare mongerers won't let that happen.

It's shale, not normal oil. The process required to extract the oil from that shale is highly inefficient and highly energy dependent, not to mention experimental, it's essentially irrelevant compared to any number of other energy production methods such as solar/wind/nuclear/gas. |
