Collaborative Tabletop Interface
This is an example of a collaborative tabletop interface that I designed and built. The purpose of the interface is to explore the benefits it might have on collaborative learning within a group of Key Stage 1 children (ages 6-7).The interface has been combined with a sequencing game. Children work in teams of two to construct a storyboard or narrative out of a sequence of images.12 images, representing individual events, begin at the center of the table. 6 of these can be ordered to create a single pre-defined narrative and the other 6 make up a separate narrative. The children must work together, not only within their own team, but with the opposing team to trade items that they might require and figure out which items belong to which narrative. If you have any questions please email me for more information. This is excellent. Please leave this up as I am linking my site to it. Cooperative/collaborative learning is catching on, so you might have a real business here.
