Love the line about the Old Town never being cast away....Caltongate will see a big chunk of the Old Town changed into a clone town shopping mall and conference centre/hotel......presuming any investor is daft enough to bank roll what has become the most scandelous development in Edinburgh.

Superb, I grew up in Oxgangs in the nineteen seventies. Seeing the Pentland hills when coming back from long motoring holidays was a sign that we were nearly home.
