You are right, we should be able to afford HC, if the government were not wasting and stealing our tax dollars. It would also help if everyone worked and payed their fair share of taxes.Why is it that most section 8 housing have big screen HDTV's?.......

A half a trillion anyway. We need to end it. My man is Ron Paul. No nation building. You don't go to war without declaring war. This by the way is done by congress not the president. Eliminate the IRS, let people keep their money, this would be great for the economy too. I would love to have just a fraction of what my employers have paid for my coverage over the years. I could probably retire!

We may see another revolution some day, but right now people are satisfied with a government that will promise them stuff, then not deliver, then blame the other party for the problem. It's and old and tired act.

I know that I only need one car, and its a 04 that I paid cash for. But is it the governments job to tell people how many cars or houses or boats they can own? The top 10% of income earners already pay 70% of the federal income taxes. They should pay more?40% of all Americans pay no federal income taxes at all. Barack wants to give these people a check! America, what a great country to live in!

The system needs an overhaul, thats for sure, I just have my doubts about the government running anything. They have robbed social security for years and now they want to run health care?

The short answer is that we are over 10 trillion dollars in debt and can't afford it. If the government wants to provide health care, fine, make cuts elsewhere so that it can happen. Almost sounds too simple.

In other countries the Gov. Fears its people, they take care of them because they dont want an angry mob of people outside their home, why cant Americans do this. The only problem is people have this fear of been the same, Im sure a Dr. can do without his 27 Ferraris, he can settle for 2 of them instead. Pluss the whole point of becoming a Dr. was to help, not to take lives away.GOD BLESS AMERICA, RIGHT?

You just said exactly what the Republican Party wants to hear, they try to scare us with tactics of communism. Communism never worked because evil people were the ones running it, but then explain to me, why is it that Ukraine; my husband country has free healthcare. Why is it that the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, this great country CANT and WONT take care of its people?
