It's not fair to someone has a shitty taste in music because they don't agree with you; it's all about individual taste and preference. Everyone interprets music differently. I love both versions; I also love the version by Kate Voegele which is my favourite version.

Yes Leonard Cohen gets major props for creating this amazing songs, however, jeff buckley's version is nothing compared to Damien's. if you think other wise, you dont know shit about music! Damien's voice is unique in every way, he's one of the most incredible singers ever to grace the mic.

killed means bad. he did nail it. have to say i think that Jeff Bucklys version is the best even thought Leonard Cowen did do it origionaly. lol. i cant listen to this song anywhere else other than in my house. im a 27 yr guy and it still brings a tear to my eye. :(

Jeff couldn't help being sexual, he radiated sexual energy. I don't think his portrayal of the song was intended to be anything but a dedication to one of the world's greatest songwriters. Honestly, I prefer Jeff's version. It was very vulnerable.

Good god this man melts my heart.Damien Rice killed this is in my opinion. His voice gives the song the brokenness it needs. Amazing.

I love Jeff Buckley's version.. but instead of the original religious meaning it should have Jeff gives it a more sexual meaning... No one can top Leonard Cohen... he created this beautiful song and is the perfect voice for it.
