It seemed to me that the guy in the beginning with the chained kamas was using unnecessary movements. But that is my opinion however later there was more presence to the katas.

I've been in Gojuryu for many years with kobudo and I've never seen this before. I still have a lot to learn.

I love seeing old guys that have been doing this all their lives do katas. No fancy kicks or anything, just plain simple techniques.I loved the focus they had on their strikes!

not troth. Have been to temple. There are about 50 real monks practising orthodox Shaolin wushu. Some styles, like Shaolin tang lang is lost today, but styles like xiao hong quan, kan jia quan, jin gan quan, luohan still remains in a temple even today. You talk so becourse you have never heard about most of these monks. All Nat. Geo. and Discovery movies are fiction. And there are now real monks in these movies only abbot. But it dosent mean that they do not exist.
