What people need to understand is that there suspicion, justified or not, in the general population in Zim that the MDC in power will mean Britain ruling by proxy, or at least Tsvangirai having his hand guided by downing street.MDC needs to define itself as a Zimbabwean party with no foreign vested interests, particularly those of the former power. Progress cannot be dependant on MDC maintaining good relations with downing street, or any foreign power for that matter.
