actually, I played it on my Bb and now I'm sure that he's playing on a C trumpet. Look at his fingering. He's playing it in G.On a Bb trumpet it would be in A.

i thought it was a cornet? I might be wrong though. Looked too small for a trumpet.

It's because the Japanese have sooo much respect for him that they restrain themselves. It is against their culture to be abrupt or loud. Silence is treated as a strong value.
