Brett Ratner?HAHAHAHAFor those who dont know who he is hes the director of x-men. I think hes just being sarcastic.

Many actors have claimed that is was in fact hard to work with him, this includes Tom Cruise, Kirk Douglas, Nicole Kidman, Shelly Duvall,Malcom Macdowell and Sydney Pollack. Even Marlon Brando went on to refuse working with Kubrick.Hes my favorite director of all time, but dont say he wasnt hard to work with, he was a perfectionist which is why his movies were so good, and actors had to try and keep up with him.

Brett Ratner better than Kubrick, oh you must be joking. That gave me a good laugh. If you can give 7 "unbiased" reasons as to why Kubrick is overrated, then I might retract my statement.

Rubbish!!!! Kubrick is without question or fear of contradiction.....the most overrated director in the history of cinema. Whereas Brett Ratner is easily the most unique and individualistic director alive today (or in any other era, for that matter). Mr. Ratners talents are otherworldly, to say the least. This is why many of his films are disregarded by some of the dense critics....it just goes over their heads.Hail Bret Ratner! Director Extraordinaire!

oh my god not at all!!! He's not at ALL egotistical... nor difficult to work with. He was hard to work with because the crew HAD to have a prepared reason as to why something doesn't work.. they can't go to him say "we can't get this lighting" and Stan was so smart that he had like 10 reasons why it should, so crew had to have 10 rebuttals... he made people think fast and a lot weren't smart or good enough to keep up.. read the book.. learn about him through his OWN words, it's magical :D haha

Thanks,,,, I will look it up, I never heard of it before....Ive read articles on him being the worst director to work with though, He was such a perfectionist that actors and editors etc etc were meant to of argued with him all the time...
AlecGabrielUNT (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
he's not egotistical... read Stanley Kubrick Interviews, edited by Gene D Phillips... best Kubrick book in existence... the man in his own words
