to everyone who says this is a racist song, do you even LISTEN to the lyrics? with the 'boo boo boo' after mentioning george wallace, and they sing 'we did what we could do' which is basically saying we tried to stop him.lynyrd skynyrd isn't racist. one of their members (forgot who) condemned wallace for the way he treated "colored people."
