When i was little i had a mighty mouse video tape with a collection of old episodes. And it had one with a completely different origin of mighty mouse than this. In the one i saw he was left on some mices' door step in a bundle when he was a baby and he was always just super strong. Has anyone else seent his version??

I remember when you used to be able to pay like a quarter or fifty cents to watch these cartoons in a both at the grocery store.

This cartoon was seen on "Mighty Mouse Playhouse". This was basically the very first cartoon when it was originally called Super Mouse, but they changed to Mighty Mouse two years later. I've seen on Toon Tracker's site on the "Origins of Mighty Mouse" section, it tells you all about the history of a character as describe in the first cartoon.

This was originally released in October 1942. He was known as "Super Mouse" until early 1944, when he officially became "Mighty Mouse"- his original name was altered on the soundtrack in TV prints (here, at 4:08). Directed by Eddie Donnelly, story by John Foster {original idea by Isadore Klein}, with music by Philip A. Scheib.
