One of my dad's most fond memories of his father was when he took him to see Hatari when it was released in India. It was special because he was a child of eight and never got to spend any time alone with his father. He was talking to me about being so captivated by this scene and the music and proceeded to hum it! I showed him that I found it on YouTube and he was elated to be able to see it again! Thanks for posting this.

Nice upload!I'm playing this song myself on the organ and it's good to see the scene from where the song originated. Henry Mancini was a really great composer!

What a charming scene, from a great adventure comedy! I remember seeing this movie when it came it out in 1962, when I was eight, and being captivated by the baby elephant scenes. (I didn't notice at the time how captivating Elsa Martinelli was in the same scenes!) Thank you, ppkmandic, for sharing this wonderful clip with us.Gratefully,Harry
