no, you could be !! like its not impossible if you sit down a few hours a day, work on scales and technique like slapping, plucking, tapping etc., play along with cd's or drum tracks, learn from other peoples techniques and play at every opportunity, like when watchin tv !! jus remember he didn start off as a virtuoso, chances are he srtarted off with basic groves and walking lines and over years of hard work and lessons built a title ! jus keep workin hard man and you never know

I'm working on learning bass right now. I doubt I'll ever be good as this guy, but I can hope, right?

you've just gotta pick it up and start playin man.just pluck it with your thumb, hit it with your thumb, pluck with your other fingers - just keep messing with it. I was in the same boat and after 2 years I can't believe how much I've improved. nothing will do it but time/practice, just pick it up and mess around with itannd learn scales, like pentatonics or whatever
